A local tuner.
This policy covers the Analog Tuner macOS app provided by Eren Baki Eralp.
Analog Tuner analyzes sound from the microphone or audio interface you choose. Its core tuning function works without an internet connection. The app does not upload your audio, tuning results or local preferences to the publisher.
Audio input and permission
Audio is processed locally on your Mac. Samples are used temporarily in memory to detect pitch; the app does not save audio recordings or send the signal to an audio output.
Audio capture starts when the tuner panel is open and stops when the panel closes. macOS manages microphone permission for microphones and audio interface inputs. You can review or revoke it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Preferences stay on your Mac
The app stores your audio input and channel choices, tuning reference, noise threshold, tuning tolerance, interface style, appearance, first-run state and optional startup preference locally. This allows your choices to remain available between launches.
You can change these choices in the app’s Settings. Audio is not saved in these preferences. The publisher does not receive a copy of the settings to retain or delete. Optional Launch at Login uses the macOS login-item system; it does not create an app account.
No app account or tracking
The app does not require an account, password or subscription. It contains no advertising, app analytics, telemetry or third-party tracking SDK.
Apple separately manages App Store purchases, downloads, updates, permissions and any system diagnostics under Apple’s policies and your system settings. These are not an Analog Tuner account or an app-operated audio upload service.
Website requests are separate
These static page files contain no analytics code, tracking pixel, third-party font or contact form.
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. This website request processing is separate from the app’s local audio analysis.
Questions about privacy
If you choose to email support, your email service and the support mailbox process the message you send. Analog Tuner does not automatically attach audio or diagnostic files.
